Biography:
Travell Adams (born 12/10/1985) better known by his stage name T.R.A.Y. which stands for Travell Rhymes And You, is an American musician, visual artist, real estate investor and entrepreneur born in Saginaw, Michigan. His family later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he got his start writing songs, producing, and working with various art-forms, and entertainment projects at the School for Creative and Performing Arts where he graduated doing Technical-Theatre in 2004. He caught his first big break on the west coast in Los Angeles, California when he later became popular online documenting his travels from coast to coast while using the alias… TrayWasHere. He used the buzz from these documentaries to generate views on his youtube channel, by recording live freestyles to beats sent in from up and coming music producers.

In 2009 his single "Dear Dr. King" a tribute to the great civil rights leader, racked in over 70,000 downloads after being released online. The song earned the artist a huge online fan base, and social media following. By the end of the year T.R.A.Y. went on to record several online hits like "Everyday is Valentines" and "My Favorite Song". All were later released on his debut album "T.R.A.Y. - So Midwest Hollywood" which went on to become a classic amongst fans worldwide.

Following the success of So Midwest Hollywood in California, T.R.A.Y. flew back to the east coast and partnered with an independent label from his hometown called Prospect Entertainment to release what is now known as "T.R.A.Y. - Home 4 the 1st Time". The collection was promoted with a small regional tour, and despite major critical acclaim the release managed to bring in 20,000 downloads with songs like "Had Enough", "Self", and "2Gether". After Home 4 the 1st Time, T.R.A.Y. recorded several features, and freestyles which further established his lyrical prowess among fellow MCs.

In 2011, He extended his contract with P.A.C.E World Media Group and together they released T.R.A.Y. - The HitList: 1 a greatest hits collection of some of the artists most popular songs from previous releases. The original HitList: 1 was downloaded over 40,000 Times and 6 months later it was followed by T.R.A.Y. - The HitList: 2.

The year 2013 marked a pivotal point in the artist's music and creative direction in which T.R.A.Y. released 3 full mixtapes back to back that same summer. "T.R.A.Y. - Book of Psalms" was his first all experimental album as it showcased the beginning of a new style of song writing. The release however went under the radar as many critics and bloggers believed the artist may have reached his creative peak. In response Travell took to the internet to release "T.R.A.Y. - Blue Ivy" a collection of freestyles recorded over instrumentals of the most popular hip hop songs at the time. As an added bonus, bare vocals were left at the end of most tracks to be used by DJ's and studio engineers for promotional purposes. Several fan inspired remixes to his songs spread across the internet like wild fire, and caught the attention of a few mainstream artists and producers through social media.

Toward the end of year, one of T.R.A.Y.'s most popular releases debuted in the form of a self titled LP, "Travell Rhymes And You" the project was originally slated to be released as the trilogy, and final installment to the HitList Collection. Many songs on the album were downloaded, shared and went on to become all time favorites such as "Fuck You", "End Up Paid", "I'm Grown Now", and "Just My Type". For its official launch, the album was released exclusively online with its own website, and merchandise for the project. It became one of his biggest successes, and introduced the rapper to a huge new online audience.

To date, T.R.A.Y. has independently released over 10 albums as a solo musician. 3 mixtapes, and over 100 singles, several radio freestyles, and music videos. In the summer of 2016, the artist confirmed that he was back in the studio working on his 11th collection titled "T.R.A.Y. - ALL ACCESS LP", set to be distributed by P.A.C.E.World Media Group and to all streaming platforms. Since then rumors have spread about the release being his final music endeavor. Many fans and bloggers believe he is soon to retire the microphone and work on his other business ventures. Ugggh" is literally one of T.R.A.Y. most popular freestyles, as he raps on a rugged fast pace tempo, keeping up with the original beat. The freestyle marks the beginning of recording sessions that will eventually lead to other full length albums. There are many well put together verses and he kills his own remix to already popular songs by Drake, Kendrick Lamar, 2Chainz, and Meek Mill. In true T.R.A.Y. fashion each song features complex rhyme patterns, he also leaves a few treats for fans and artists looking to feature on his songs. Listen/Download Below.      ...
