“I didn’t do anything consciously, that’s the amazing thing about this,” Travell said, "I just woke up one day and realized I have a dope ass life. Im an educated single black man in America, with no kids, a nice career, no criminal record, who operates several small businesses, on the road to becoming a self-made millionaire. Which is rare, where I come from. Im living the time of my life, and I feel obligated to show people, that this is even possible today in these times. Basically before its all said and done, with my music, my work, including this series Im just letting the whole world know, yo... Tray Was Here”

Mixtape: T.R.A.Y. - UnderRated Overlooked Vol: 1 #ClassicReplay #2007

Artist: T.R.A.Y. Album: Underrated Overlooked Vol. 2 Review: Somewhere between an EP and an LP, the semi proper debut from this Cincinnati raised/LA transplanted MC is stacked with lyrics that don’t waste a word. With a B-Boy from the Bronx swagger that can’t help but add additional punch to his already hard-hitting delivery, T.R.A.Y. flushes out the tracks, compacting syllables and squeezing thoughts on top of each other, all while constantly maintaining focus on the concept and flow. The lyrics are honest, told from a fairly unique perspective, and filled with a strength that is often fueled by Travell’s determination. On “15 Minutes,” he laments the thinly veiled talent in hip hop from an artist’s perspective, and then takes it a step further on “Breathe.” In a hip-hop landscape filled with cookie-cutter MC’s, it’s always great to hear an artist whose main focus is to remain true to himself, and his fans. Artist: T.R.A.Y. Title: T.R.A.Y. - Blue Ivy (LP) Related Music: T.R.A.Y. - Book Of Psalms: 7 Mixtape Review: T.R.A.Y. aka Travell Rhymes and You blossoms on his latest mixtape release. Lyrically this is some of his best work yet. Listen to the Eminem styled track titled "iEM GOD" where he does the vocals of 4 different characters in one song. "Yuck a.k.a. Ugggh" is literally one of T.R.A.Y. most popular freestyles, as he raps on a rugged fast pace tempo, keeping up with the original beat. The freestyle marks the beginning of recording sessions that will eventually lead to other full length albums. There are many well put together verses and he kills his own remix to already popular songs by Drake, Kendrick Lamar, 2Chainz, and Meek Mill. In true T.R.A.Y. fashion each song features complex rhyme patterns, he also leaves a few treats for fans and artists looking to feature on his songs. Listen/Download Below. ...

#AlbumStream: T.R.A.Y. - Moment Of Truth (Full Version)

Artist: T.R.A.Y. Album: Moment Of Truth Review: If Moment of Truth is T.R.A.Y.'s last music release, as it has been rumored to be, it illustrates an artist going out in top form. For years Travell Adams aka T.R.A.Y. has been one of the most promising, and talented rappers in the Ohio, Midwest region. A lyricist who can strut the player's lifestyle with one track and become an eloquent hip-hop everyday man with the next, an artist for whom modesty is often a sin, and yet, one who still sounds sincere when he's discussing his humble origins. After the immediate classic mixtape TravellRhymesAndYou , we found him at the peak of his powers. With his latest release as he has in the past, T.R.A.Y. balances the boasting with extensive meditations on his life, family, and music career. The back history begins with the first song, " Moment of Truth " (a freestyle), in which Travell traces his career from beginning to present day, riding a mock fanfare and the...
