#TrayWasHere Blog: T.R.A.Y. - Hang On (#Lyrics Only)

Song: Hang On
Artist: T.R.A.Y. (Travell Rhymes And You)
Album: So Midwest Hollywood LP
T.R.A.Y. "Aye, let me talk to you for a lil bit. Tell you a story of how I met the love of my life. You know what I mean its crazy. Crazy situation. Aye check me out man, it go a lil something like this."
Verse 1:
Let me tell you bout one girl, she got three friends
She goes out but she chills on weekends
She kinda shy so she may seem coy
She got good taste but she like bad boys
I met her at school, we was always cool
We neva got to talk cuz she always had a dude
I always had a girl, sometimes had two
So I neva got time to tell her the truth
Truthfully I wasn't ready for no relationship
And she aint the type that you just be laying wit
She the type that you think about staying wit
And so I knew she wasn't the one to be playin wit
I admired her beauty from afar
Sorta like a scientist lookin at a star
When she looked my way I was dazed in awe
What I shoulda said was…could you
Chorus:
Haaang on, haaang on
Haaang on, haaang on
Haaang on, haaang on
Haaang on, haaang on
Verse 2:
Aye let me finish this story man
Her and her man just got in an incident
He aint a fool he just got a lil ignorant
He fucked up but he sayin he's innocent
Got himself caught in a messed up predicament
Couldn't let go of all his lil woman friends
So she's left he's feeling so impatent
And alone tryna get her on the phone
Ha ha, that's crazy what a coincidence
Cuz I'm single too and at the same time
I was lookin for a dime I could claim mine
I hope my ego show up when its game time
I hope she know I'm real and I aint lyin
But I admired her beauty from afar
Sorta like a scientist lookin at a star
When she looked my way I was dazed in awe
And what I shoulda said was…could you
(Chorus)
Verse 3:
But let me tell yall what I did man, its crazy
See I got her numba from a friend of a friend
Who knew she was done wit tha same ol men
Playas and ballas selling her a dream
Whateva you call them they aint what they seem
She's sick of games and the same scenarios
Its start cool pretty soon her heart is broke
Then she regrets the day that they met
Try to drink away the pain when they make her upset
And all I wanta do is try to help her forget
Cuz I know what its like when you going through stress
I pick up my cell before I know what to say
She answered my call I was all like hey
I admire your beauty from afar
Sorta like a scientist lookin at a star
If we hooked up we would neva be apart
I got more to say but I'm on my way so…
(Chorus)

Ugggh" is literally one of T.R.A.Y. most popular freestyles, as he raps on a rugged fast pace tempo, keeping up with the original beat. The freestyle marks the beginning of recording sessions that will eventually lead to other full length albums. There are many well put together verses and he kills his own remix to already popular songs by Drake, Kendrick Lamar, 2Chainz, and Meek Mill. In true T.R.A.Y. fashion each song features complex rhyme patterns, he also leaves a few treats for fans and artists looking to feature on his songs. Listen/Download Below.      ...

The HitList: 1 went viral when Travell released "Everyday is Valentines" & "My favorite Song" from the award winning "T.R.A.Y. - So Midwest Hollywood LP."
